WHY DO WE LIKE ARTÁ? For a lot of people on the island, Artá is in a far-away corner of the island, and far from most more well-known or more well-visited locations on the island. That’s why we like it. However, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t attract a crowd. Many people come to Artá, because it’s a small town with a lovely weekly market on Tuesdays. It’s one of the reasons we go ourselves. And you can go swimming and sunbathing at the nearby beaches of Cala Torta , Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla . And from Cala Torta you can follow the coastline to the left to visit other small bays: Cala Mitjana o sa Duaia , Cala Estreta, Cala Dentol and finally Cala des Matzoc . Looking for a beach on Mallorca? Look for the word ‘Cala’ or ‘Platges’ on your map or check Platgesdebalears.com for real-time information on beaches near Artá. For local expertise please contact Ana
