- Mallorca, your ideal wedding anniversary destination
Dreaming of renewing your vows in a small chapel with a view over the Meditteranean sea or just spending a long weekend celebrating love with your family and friends at a surprising green island with white sandy beaches? All is possible in Mallorca, the friendly Spanish Island with hidden gems and a rich culture in the Mediterranean sea. This sunny island might be the ideal destination to celebrate your wedding anniversary. Mallorca Travels knows where the hidden gems are. Palma de Mallorca is easy to reach for your friends and family. The city has excellent connections to more than 180 destinations. Since this summer three direct flights per week connect New York with this paradise in the Mediterranean sea. Mallorca Travels expert, Ana, tells us about a wedding anniversary she organized. Ana: “A lovely couple from Holland invited 20 friends to celebrate their wedding anniversary and their cherished friendship. All rooms were booked for a long weekend in a small scale romantic boutique hotel with a magnificent sea view in the North of Mallorca. Ana made an extensive programme guests could choose. Some of the group visited the Sunday market in one of “the most beautiful villages in Spain” Pollensa. Golfers could choose two excellent golf courses. Others did a mountain hike with a guide or took an E-scooter to discover the country side. The boat trip with the whole group to the lovely beach of Formentor was one of the highlights. Transport was organized with minivans with drivers. They had multiple lunches and dinners at beautiful locations. They had a lovely prepared gala dinner by the hotel, a tapas dinner with a dance on a market square and a traditional Sunday late lunch with as surprise a wedding cake ceremony with a pink cava- the sparkling Spanish wine. Ana also helped with souvenirs on behalf of the bride. Guests took home a basket with local products and a personal bath robe as a remembrance of this lovely weekend . Ana: "My experience is that the program should not be too set. Let your guests choose to relax and spend some time at the hotel’s pool with a magazine as well. Let them experience “the Mallorca effect”. All will admit that the unique light and air is different in Mallorca. A relaxing long weekend of celebration with good friends, feels like a holiday of a week.”
