A must see! Deià is a town that you have to visit during your time in Mallorca. The location is magical, in the evergreen valley on the slopes of Tramuntana. Its charming houses rise between the mountains, giving it a romantic and unique environment. It became a haven for numerous painters and writers in the 1960s and is currently a mandatory stop for travelers traveling to the north of the island. Deià is the perfect destination to take a walk, visit its emblematic points, have dinner in one of its many romantic restaurants, or take a dip in its famous Cala Deià, 3km from the town (steep walk). The town comes to live in the evening and is still very popular with the locals. What to do in Deià? Go up to Mirador de Deià, you will get a fantastic view of the stone houses on the hillside. The Museo Arqueológico, American painter and amateur archaeologist, William Henre Waldren, built and created this small museum where he could display his finds for others to enjoy. Visit the Church of Sant Joan Baptista, the cemetery and the Robert Graves´s house. You can take a dip in Cala Deià but in summer we found it rather poluted by oil from all the yachts. And on the way back you can go through the emblematic Son Marroig and of course arrive at Sa Foradada for sunset. There are plenty of restaurants in town. One of our favorites is the lovely veggie shop/restaurant De moniö . Looking for an official restaurant, then the upmarket El Olivio is a must or the Instafamous Ca's Patró March . Sóller is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. Located in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana and surrounded by the fertile Valley of the Orange trees, it is a town that has a combination of nature, and the culture of modernist architecture. It is enough to walk through the center to feel transported to other times. Just 6 km from the town is the charming Port of Sóller. To get there we recommend you go on the emblematic train, which is a symbol of this town, and of course a must-see. What to do in Sóller? We start with the Plaza de la Constitución where you will see the typical train go by, and where there is also the magnificent church of Sant Bartolomeu , with its modernist façade designed by the prestigious architect Joan Rubió i Bellver, a disciple of the great master Antoni Gaudí. You can continue the walk through its old cobbled streets, lose yourself among local shops and hidden paths. Half a day will be enough to visit the points of interest of the Mallorcan town. Now it is time to discover the Port of Sóller. In Port of Sóller you will find several good restaurants where you can enjoy good tapas. Everytime we enter into the valley of Valldemossa our heart makes a little jump. Valldemossa is a cute, charming town, where you will be captivated by its beautiful views of the Sierra Tramuntana and its stone houses embedded in the mountains. Valldemossa is a town that you will fall in love with, its small streets full of flowers, small local shops full of traditional products, and its charming cafes that will be a perfect stop to rest and contemplate the flow of the town. In summer a little crowded, but in the evening or off season it is a lovely site to explore. It is a perfect destination if you like quiet walks, and spend a slow day, but also for those hiking enthusiasts or those who travel for hiking, it has a multitude of routes where you can enjoy the natural landscapes that Valldemossa offers. Access to Valldemossa is easy, and it is only 30 minutes by car from Palma. It is an obligatory stop if you are on your holidays in Mallorca. What to do in Valldemossa? The best advice for what to do in Valldemossa is to walk around and get lost in its corners, it is a small town and you will surely not miss anything, but if we have to recommend some, I would tell you, Real Cartuja, Jardines del Rey Juan Carlos, viewpoint Miranda des Lledoners. To continue you can reach the tiny port, but you have to know that the road is very narrow and with curves. Like the entire northwest coast of Majorca, you will be able to see the sun setting over the Mediterranean Sea. Where to eat? Artá is a town in the northeast corner of the island of Mallorca. It’s close to the Llevant Peninsula Nature Reserve which is known for its hiking trails and biking tour options. For a lot of people on the island, Artá is in a far-away corner of the island, and far from most more well-known or more well-visited locations on the island. That’s why we like it. However, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t attract a crowd. Many people come to Artá, because it’s a small town with a lovely weekly market on Tuesdays. It’s one of the reasons we go ourselves. And you can go swimming and sunbathing at the nearby beaches of Cala Torta , Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla . And from Cala Torta you can follow the coastline to the left to visit other small bays: Cala Mitjana o sa Duaia , Cala Estreta, Cala Dentol and finally Cala des Matzoc .
